Deer Chaser Yuchi Resort

Deer Chaser Yuchi

Deer Chaser Yuchi is a resort in Nantou, Taiwan, covering about 1720 square meters. The design departs from the standard hostel model by using local culture and landscape. Communal areas draw on the inner court of the traditional Taiwanese farmhouse and the image of people gathering under a tree. Nadir Resort

Nadir

Nadir is a resort set within the Atacama Desert, designed as architecture that appears quarried from the terrain. Low rectilinear volumes sit tight to the rock, forming deep loggias, wind protected courts and shaded thresholds. Water is used as a cooling mirror, exterior basins reflect the canyon sky, while sunken pools occupy carved chambers. Interiors are shaped by stratified stone surfaces and oculus openings that admit controlled daylight, reducing glare and heat. A restrained palette of sand colored masonry, recessed lighting and minimal furnishings emphasizes shelter and expansive view.

The corridor between the two buildings is cut on a diagonal axis and holds five trapezoidal windows. The exterior is grayscale, and white paint on the walls simulates interlocking tree branches in irregular triangular shapes. Hexagonal bricks of varying brightness clad the overhanging facades and the semi-outdoor terrace.

Wyndham Dongrong Resort

Wyndham Dongrong

Wyndham Dongrong is a resort located in the south of Yixian County, Anhui, China. The resort covers 67118 square meters and unites architecture, landscape and interior design in one solution. The layout draws on traditional Hui-style villages, using enclosed courtyards, small water systems and winding corridors. Yixian Green marble, a local stone, clads the walls below the third floor, so the building appears to sink into the natural setting. Horse head wall forms are repeated as an array and simplified into art installations along the street.
