Wyndham Dongrong
Wyndham Dongrong is a resort located in the south of Yixian County, Anhui, China. The resort covers 67118 square meters and unites architecture, landscape and interior design in one solution. The layout draws on traditional Hui-style villages, using enclosed courtyards, small water systems and winding corridors. Yixian Green marble, a local stone, clads the walls below the third floor, so the building appears to sink into the natural setting. Horse head wall forms are repeated as an array and simplified into art installations along the street.
Wyndham Dongrong Resort by Luke Han was highlighted as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Wyndham Dongrong Resort was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design accolade that honors exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
