Rebel Type
Rebel Type is a monthly magazine about typography and its role in cultural change. The design is influenced by punk aesthetics and protest art. Bold layouts, unconventional type choices and a raw visual style challenge traditional print norms. Pop-ups and fold-out pages invite readers to explore each issue by hand. The interior pages are printed on textured paper with a recycled look, while the cover uses a metallic finish. The magazine presents typography as an artistic and cultural force for creative readers.
Rebel Type Magazine by Jared Iannacone was highlighted as a creative illustration of communication design by the A' Design Award. Rebel Type Magazine earned the Iron A' Design Award in Print and Published Media Design in 2025. The A' Print and Published Media Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize that rewards outstanding design of brochures, posters, magazines, catalogs, flyers, business cards, billboards, books and more.
