Kazbegi
Kazbegi is a large format porcelain slab designed for walls and floors. The slab measures 3200 millimetres in length and 1600 millimetres in width. The surface reproduces the natural texture of stone, with marble like veining and soft natural colour. The design is inspired by the form of Mount Kazbek and brings the character of mountains and stone into interior spaces. Production uses digital mould technology, macro capture of stone patterns, three dimensional scanning and multi layer printing. Kazbegi suits living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and study rooms.
Kazbegi Slab by KLAX was identified as a grand illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Kazbegi Slab earned the Silver A' Design Award in Building Materials and Construction Components Design in 2024. The A' Building Materials and Construction Components Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize which rewards outstanding design of bricks, beams, windows, doors, insulation materials, roofing materials, plumbing fixtures, electrical components and more.
