Literkolekcja
Literkolekcja is a photobook documenting letter expression in public space, including lettering, typography and calligraphy. The photographs were taken over a decade in many parts of the world, mainly with a mobile phone, and remain deliberately raw, without artificial aesthetics. On the cover, a table of contents passes through the spine and extends beyond the bleed. The texts reproduce the inscriptions on the photographs with all errors. The typesetting is deliberately irregular, reflecting the imperfections of the letters shown. Swiss binding allows the album to lie flat.
Literkolekcja Photobook by Aleksandra Toborowicz was recognized as an outstanding illustration of communication design by the A' Design Award. Literkolekcja Photobook was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Print and Published Media Design in 2023. The A' Print and Published Media Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize that celebrates exceptional design of brochures, posters, magazines, catalogs, flyers, business cards, billboards, books and more.
