Longfang Bridge
Longfang Bridge is a nightscape lighting design for a road and pedestrian bridge in Wenzhou, China. The crossing combines one main bridge with two pedestrian bridges, built from concrete-filled steel tubes painted red. The pedestrian bridges use warm 2200K light to contrast with the red structure, while the main bridge uses 4000K light for traffic. Wall washers and flood lights are hidden inside the structure. Three lighting modes serve weekdays, weekends and festivals. A control system switches lights off at midnight or when daylight is sufficient.
Longfang Bridge Nightscape Lighting Design by Lighting Design Institute of Wenzhou Design Assembly Company Ltd has been identified as a grand example of architectural design by the A' Design Award.
