Huzhou Science Valley Homm Hotel

Huzhou Science Valley Homm Hotel is an architectural lighting design for a resort hotel in Huzhou, China. The resort covers 24,000 square meters and includes 178 guest rooms and villas arranged around a central lobby. Light is used to emphasize the character of the interior design, to express spatial hierarchy and to create visual focus. Warm color temperatures, selected light sources, measured illumination levels and a lighting control system support a calm and restful atmosphere. The design refers to local tea culture and Zen tradition.

Huzhou Science Valley Homm Hotel Lighting Design by AlexXu&Partners has been recognized as a creative example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Huzhou Science Valley Homm Hotel Lighting Design received the Golden A' Design Award in Architectural Lighting in 2023. The A' Architectural Lighting Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design competition that celebrates superior design of architectural lighting, architectural illumination, architecture lighting projects, architectural light projections, landscape illumination, architectural light art and more.
