The Sweety
The Sweety is a candy jar that combines a sweet container with a seal. When the jar is pushed down, the internal seals join and form a complete pattern. When the jar is released, the seals separate and a gap opens, so the candies can fall out. Each candy is served together with a printed wedding pattern. Three versions are shaped as a lantern, a diamond and a balloon. The jar is made by polycarbonate injection molding and measures 60 by 60 by 100 millimeters. The lid can be unscrewed and filled with other candies.
The Sweety Candy Jar by Yi Qi & Chen XuanZuo was highlighted as an outstanding illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. The Sweety Candy Jar won the Bronze A' Design Award in Giftware Design in 2020. The A' Giftware Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program that rewards outstanding design of candles, figurines, picture frames, decorative plates, ornaments, souvenirs, personalized mugs, collectibles and more.
