Air Bubble
Air Bubble is an office interior design based on a flexible partition system. Bright bubble-shaped enclosures float within the space, forming private offices and meeting rooms. Each enclosure is built as a membrane with a shiny outer skin and a translucent inner surface, supported by transparent structural bones. PVC is the main material, including U-shaped translucent panels, hollow plastic plates and transparent tubes. The bubbles are 2.7 meters high and let daylight pass while keeping privacy. The layout is fluid, so each user can choose a workspace that suits the activity.
Air Bubble Office by Ma Cheng was recognized as a grand illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition.
