Smart Ecology
Smart Ecology is an urban planning project for the Tus Park, a high technology industrial park in Nanning, China. The plan links the functional zones to create open space for communication. A scattered layout with enclosed courtyards balances openness with the privacy of each zone. A central landscape axis connects the individual units through sky corridors. The park covers 671,592 square metres and includes a science and technology museum, offices, housing and commercial streets. A passive building energy system supports energy saving and environmental protection.
Smart Ecology Industrial Park by Yun Du has been featured as a creative example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Smart Ecology Industrial Park won the Silver A' Design Award in Urban Planning and Urban Design in 2020. The A' City Planning and Urban Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design prize which recognizes outstanding design of masterplans, zoning proposals, infrastructure designs, landscape blueprints, public space concepts, urban renewal projects, transit oriented developments, sustainable city designs and more.
