Pierre De Ronsard
Pierre De Ronsard is a bakery interior covering 110 square meters. The design displays the baking process and desserts within one open retail space. The guiding concept is an ambiguous boundary between the shop and the inner street of the shopping mall. A perforated curved wall with ivory paint stands near the main entrance, and the spacing of the holes changes gradually. Laminated metal sheets of various heights serve as display units and as an interactive installation. Solid blocks replace fixed interfaces, so inside and outside connect.
Pierre De Ronsard Baking Shop by Yang Su was recognized as a creative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Pierre De Ronsard Baking Shop received the Golden A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design accolade that celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
