Good Fortune Gourd
Good Fortune Gourd is a jewelry collection made of 18k gold, pearls and diamonds. The gourd is a traditional Chinese symbol of good fortune and wealth. Each gourd shape holds abstract curves that follow the form of the two Chinese characters for big fortune. The collection includes a necklace, earrings and a finger ring. The necklace can be worn with a pearl placed inside the gourd, or with the pearl taken out and hung below as a pendant. 3D printing is used to form the gold parts, which improves the efficiency of the jewelry workshop.
Good Fortune Gourd Jewellery by Juanjuan Hu was identified as an outstanding example of fashion design by the A' Design Awards. Good Fortune Gourd Jewellery was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Jewelry Design in 2020. The A' Jewelry Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design accolade that rewards superior design of rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, brooches, pendants, cufflinks, anklets and more.
