Realm of Transition
Realm of Transition is an office interior design of 275 square meters completed in Taipei City, Taiwan. The interior is based on a medieval nautical theme inspired by the explorer Magellan. Nautical motifs include hemp rope, arched beams, round rods, canvas, ship side boards and oak barrels. The chairman office features a cabin handle and medieval nautical charts. Recycled timber pallets and disused oak barrels were used to support sustainable design, and high-technology printing replaces some actual timber materials.
Realm of Transition Office by Leo Lin has been selected as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Realm of Transition Office won the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design award that rewards excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
