Sunny Chinese House
Sunny Chinese House is the interior design of a detached villa with four floors and an interior area of 400 square meters. The layout is symmetrical and follows the traditional Chinese balance of yin and yang. A new stone wall outside the window creates the impression of a courtyard. A pitched roof and wooden lintels are used in the tall living room. Calligraphy, paintings and porcelain complete the setting. Glass walls, skylights, a sunroom and a terrace bring in daylight. Furniture based on Ming Dynasty models is adapted for comfort.
Sunny Chinese House Residence by Ai Ling Tian was identified as an innovative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Sunny Chinese House Residence received the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design accolade which honors outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
