Living and Forging Together

Living and Forging Together is the interior design of a residential house in Taichung, Taiwan, covering 217 square metres. The design brings the view of the lush garden landscape into the home. Minimalist and modest colours on the exterior blend with the colours of the natural setting. Semi-outdoor spaces such as a balcony and a terrace soften the boundary between indoor and outdoor areas. The porch is finished with wood grilles and slate bricks. Symmetrical floor-to-ceiling windows bring daylight into the rooms.

Living and Forging Together Residential House by Chien-Neng Chang was featured as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Living and Forging Together Residential House won the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade that honors outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
