Nature Meishan
Nature Meishan is a guesthouse interior located in Chiayi, Taiwan. The interior covers about 433 square meters and includes a lobby, a kitchen, an island area and five double suites. The project is the renovation of a 40-year-old house set within a natural landscape. The original structure was kept and covered with concrete to give a simple new appearance. The staircase was moved to the center to improve the indoor flow. Lower windowsills and added French windows bring more daylight inside. Wooden furniture and light fixtures reflect the surrounding environment.
Nature Meishan Commercial Space by Wei Tong Chen was highlighted as a grand illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Nature Meishan Commercial Space earned the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious international design prize that rewards exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
