La Chapelle HQ
La Chapelle Headquarter is a landscape design for a corporate headquarters in Shanghai. The site is located on South Lianhua Road and covers an area of 41860 square meters. The design is inspired by the sakura, or cherry blossom, and this element is repeated across the grounds. Tree varieties were selected according to the preferences of the client and to local culture. The building layout and the differences in ground level required careful research and spatial analysis. The work took one and a half years and seeks a balance between the building and the landscape.
La Chapelle HQ Landscape by Yuannan Xu has been selected as an outstanding representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. La Chapelle HQ Landscape won the Silver A' Design Award in Landscape Planning and Garden Design in 2020. The A' Landscape Planning and Garden Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program that celebrates superior design of landscape designs, public parks, residential gardens, urban plazas, campus designs, green roofs, waterfront developments, Eco-Parks, botanical gardens and more.
