Liberal Realms
Liberal Realms is the interior design of a 90 square meter apartment in Taichung City, Taiwan. The home contains three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, a reading room, a dining room and a kitchen. The design follows a minimal approach, with a white tone and without surplus decorative lines. Floor materials define each area, and light wood grain flooring links the living room to the private rooms. White walls, dark iron pieces and fair faced concrete are combined. The public areas are open and placed on one axis, so natural light reaches the whole space.
Liberal Realms Residential Space by Cheng-Hsuan Huang has been recognized as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Liberal Realms Residential Space earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition that recognizes superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
