Sunac
Sunac Plaza is an urban commercial center in the Qingjiangpu District of Huai'an, China. The complex has a gross floor area of about 700,000 square metres and includes open commercial streets, a shopping mall and residences. The site lies close to the Jing Hang Grand Canal and the Liyun River, so the waterfront setting shapes the layout. The facade is made of beige stone and stone-effect paint, edged with grey aluminium plates. Buildings of different heights form a varied skyline. Solar energy, insulated windows and natural ventilation reduce energy use.
Sunac Plaza by Huai’an Guochuang Real Estate Co., Ltd. was featured as an outstanding representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Sunac Plaza received the Silver A' Design Award in Construction and Real Estate Projects Design in 2020. The A' Construction and Real Estate Projects Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program which recognizes superior design of residential complexes, commercial buildings, industrial properties, Mixed-Use developments, hospitality establishments, educational facilities, healthcare centers, infrastructure projects and more.
