Leading By Light
Leading By Light is a residential interior design completed in Taiwan. The twenty year old house stood empty for three years and was renovated as a gift from a mother to her daughter. An open layout connects the living room, dining area and kitchen. A full height window and a clear glass partition in the study let daylight reach the whole space. White tones form the background, while wood tones are used for furniture and displays. Glass, wood, brick, iron and system cabinets create a layered interior. A veneer wrapped beam reduces the visual weight of the ceiling above the dining table.
Leading By Light Residential Space by Lin Feng-An was recognized as an outstanding representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Leading By Light Residential Space earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program which honors exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
