Taj
Taj is a finger ring made of 18 karat gold, diamonds and pearls. The form is inspired by an octagonal lotus flower pond placed upside down. The shape also refers to the architecture of the Taj Mahal, which is known for symmetry and plant motifs. A euro shank gives the ring a classical look. The ring was first modeled in three-dimensional software, then produced through computer aided design and manufacturing, casting, cleaning, stone setting and final polishing. The piece is intended for occasions such as cocktail events and weddings.
Taj Ring by Pranay Kanodia was highlighted as an innovative representation of fashion design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Taj Ring earned the Iron A' Design Award in Jewelry Design in 2020. The A' Jewelry Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design award that recognizes exceptional design of rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, brooches, pendants, cufflinks, anklets and more.
