Flowers And Butterflies Are Dancing
Flowers and Butterflies Are Dancing is a public art sculpture installed on a large square in Taichung, Taiwan. The work is made of acid-resistant stainless steel, seamlessly welded and polished, and is illuminated with RGB lights. Mirror and matte surfaces reflect the sky, the plants and the changing light, so the sculpture blends with the landscape. Open forms let the wind pass through and reduce wind resistance. The shapes recall the Formosa Lily and butterflies. The sculpture measures 1400 by 1100 by 650 centimeters and was assembled on site from twelve parts.
