Waima Year of The Horse
Waima Year of The Horse is a limited edition beer packaging created for the Chinese New Year of the Horse. The glass bottle departs from the usual cylindrical beer form and takes an elegant shape, with a rounded middle section that tapers toward the neck and the base. Flying horses with spread wings are shown rising upward, linked by flowing red ribbons that express good wishes for the coming year. A 360 degree baked enamel finish covers the curved surface and gives the motifs a layered three dimensional texture and a rich luster.
Waima Year of The Horse Beer Packaging by MEITUAN has been identified as a grand example of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Waima Year of The Horse Beer Packaging was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2026. The A' Packaging Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design prize which recognizes superior design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
