Matisse Blue Lamp

Matisse Blue

The Matisse Blue lamp is a lighting system based on the paper cut outs of Henri Matisse. Built with matte black metal and blue tyvek, the design has rounded shades that attach to a central stem. Internal led strips spread light through the material, combining shape and color into a functional object. The piece provides light through a simple structure, aiming to balance art heritage with modern materials.

Matisse Blue Lamp by Nataliya Naymark was recognized as a grand example of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Matisse Blue Lamp received the Bronze A' Design Award in Lighting Products and Fixtures Design in 2026. The A' Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design prize that honors superior design of chandeliers, pendant lights, wall sconces, table lamps, floor lamps, outdoor lights, recessed lights, track lights and more.
