Wave
Wave is a glassware collection designed for drinks and desserts. The collection includes a whiskey tumbler, a long drink glass and an ice cream cup. Each piece has a textured surface with gentle curves inspired by the geometry of ocean waves. The rhythmic contours add visual depth and offer a pleasant grip. The glasses are produced from soda lime glass with an automatic press machine. The wall thickness of the wavy surfaces was optimized for mass production. Wave reinterprets classic ribbed drinkware in a contemporary way.
Wave Glassware by Lav Design Team was identified as an exceptional illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Wave Glassware received the Bronze A' Design Award in Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware and Cookware Design in 2026. The A' Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware and Cookware Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design competition which recognizes outstanding design of pots, pans, cutlery, plates, bowls, glasses, baking dishes, graters and more.
