Place of Autumn Green

Place of Autumn Green is a 316 square metre residential apartment designed as a retirement home in Taiwan. Acoustic performance is treated as a core design element, with thick partition walls and sound guide grooves hidden in the ceiling to support cello practice and music playback. Curved glass screens and grille sliding doors form semi open rooms that shift between an open living area and a private music studio. An emerald green marble wall conceals the television behind a sliding system. Recycled Italian stone is used for the decorative screens.

Place of Autumn Green Residential Apartment by Shi Zhe Luo was selected as a creative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Place of Autumn Green Residential Apartment won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2026. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design accolade which celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
