Ripples of Time
Ripples of Time is a residential interior design that merges two units into a 1056 square metre home for a multi generational family. The 13 original structural columns are clad in translucent stone, so the structure becomes an artistic feature. A freestanding audio visual unit replaces the traditional television wall and keeps the panoramic views open. A 4.7 metre marble dining table is held by a concealed steel structure, so no table legs are needed. Recycled Italian stone and an integrated smart home system are used throughout the residence.
Ripples of Time Residential Apartment by Shi Zhe Luo has been recognized as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Ripples of Time Residential Apartment earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2026. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design award that celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
