Luminous Serenity
Luminous Serenity is a residential interior design in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The apartment was created as a calm retreat for a young student of medicine. The design follows the philosophy of wabi-sabi and uses natural materials such as stone, wood, and plaster. Daylight enters through timber louvers, so light and shadow shift through the day. Eco friendly plasters, driftwood, tree bark veneer, and seamless flooring were applied over the existing base to reduce waste. Minimal demolition keeps the original layout, while an open kitchen island links the living and dining areas.
Luminous Serenity Residence by Wu Pei Yun has been selected as a grand representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Luminous Serenity Residence won the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2026. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious international design award which rewards superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
