Sariyer Project
Sariyer Project is a residential interior design for a 210 square meter home in Sariyer, Istanbul. The plan responds to the narrow garden beside the kitchen and living room, and follows biophilic design principles. Intentional maximalism guides the scheme, with layered color, pattern, and texture. Kitchen cabinets in butter yellow are made from sustainable materials, and a dark wood bar sits in the winter garden. Layered lighting, handmade wallpapers, antique silver pieces, and artworks give the home a timeless and personal character.
Sariyer Project Residential House by SOMAS ARCHITECTURE was identified as an outstanding representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Sariyer Project Residential House received the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2025. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program which celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
