Dualcon
Dualcon is a mobility device that combines a walker and an electric assisted scooter. The walker supports short distance walking, while the combined mode is intended for longer trips such as shopping or moving around a community. Three positioning points join the two parts: a locking pin, an adjustable clamp and a latch similar to a train coupler. A slide button moves the pedal to complete or release the connection. Many assistive devices suit only one situation, so Dualcon allows users to change modes in a few simple steps.
Dualcon Multi Supply Assistive Devices by Chi En Kuo has been identified as a grand illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Dualcon Multi Supply Assistive Devices received the Iron A' Design Award in Vehicle, Mobility and Transportation Design in 2025.
