Capsule
Capsule is a modular sofa designed for living spaces. The design follows a soft, retro futuristic language, with rounded forms inspired by a pod rising from the earth. The armrests are treated as comfortable surfaces, so people can lounge and rest across the whole sofa and not only on the seat. Capsule is made of soft foam and covered with an elastic fabric that has a three dimensional honeycomb texture. Several modules are offered, so each user can build a personal composition for the room.
Capsule Modular Sofa by Stefano Ollino has been identified as a creative example of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Capsule Modular Sofa was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2025. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition which celebrates superior design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
