Cornices
Cornices is a furniture collection inspired by the eaves of traditional Chinese architecture. The collection includes a seat, a flower stand, a palace lamp and a cabinet rack. Each piece is made of North American black walnut and joined with traditional mortise and tenon structures. The curved eaves form gives the furniture a three-dimensional and layered appearance. The joints are shaped by cutting, carving and polishing, and provide strength and durability. The collection brings traditional Chinese aesthetics into modern interiors.
Cornices New Chinese Furniture by Wei Jingye / 魏靖野 has been highlighted as a grand example of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Cornices New Chinese Furniture received the Silver A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2025. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program which celebrates superior design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
