Airchef
Airchef is a drone-enabled meal delivery service created for people with limited time for meal planning. Meals are selected through a mobile app, and drones deliver them directly to the door. The drones fly without a pilot, avoid obstacles and adapt to weather conditions. Carbon fiber composites keep the drones light and durable, while route planning algorithms shorten delivery paths. Connected tracking allows each delivery to be followed in real time. The service reduces the need for grocery trips and home meal preparation.
Airchef Drone Enabled by Zhiwen Qian, Wenbo Guo and Ding Li has been identified as an exceptional illustration of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Airchef Drone Enabled earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Digital Product Design in 2025. The A' Digital Product Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design competition which rewards excellent design of digital products, apps, E-Books, virtual reality experiences, interactive websites, digital games, E-Learning platforms, wearable technologies, digital art installations and more.
