Qishan Saozi Noodles
Qishan Saozi Noodles is a packaging design for a traditional noodle product from Qishan, China. The illustration shows a phoenix formed from noodles and steam, holding a pepper branch in its beak. Colorful ingredients surround the phoenix, referring to the flavor and the long heritage of the dish. The phoenix also recalls a local legend linked to the Zhou Dynasty, connecting the brand with regional culture. The package is made of white kraft paper, chosen for its natural color and simple appearance. The fonts and the logo are applied with gold hot stamping.
Qishan Saozi Noodles Packaging by Yong Huang has been selected as an innovative example of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Qishan Saozi Noodles Packaging won the Bronze A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2025. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design award which honors outstanding design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
