128 Bpm
128 Bpm is a packaging and label design for a gin bottle. The name refers to a musical tempo of 128 beats per minute, a rate linked to the rhythm of a happy heart. The concept is based on the Blues, a musical genre that shaped many later styles. Birds represent the travel of music through history and also gather the botanicals used in gin. Wings stand for creative freedom. The front and back labels are printed on self adhesive cotton paper with a matte, velvety finish. Gold foil, varnish, embossing and debossing complete the design.
128 Bpm Gin Packaging by Ximena Ureta has been selected as a creative illustration of communication design by the A' Design Award. 128 Bpm Gin Packaging received the Golden A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2025. The A' Packaging Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design recognition program that celebrates exceptional design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
