Flutter Chapters
Flutter Chapters is a residential interior design for a young couple in Taiwan. The home of 120 square meters was changed from four rooms to three, and one room became a dressing room that enlarges the master bedroom. A wall behind the sofa has a small corner removed to suggest the turning of a page, and an open shelf beside it holds personal objects. Rounded walls and door frames follow a wabi-sabi approach. A kitchen island replaces the dining table for daily use and social gatherings. Solid wood veneers, cabinetry and laminate flooring in earthy tones create a warm atmosphere.
Flutter Chapters Residence by Tsai's Design was selected as a creative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Flutter Chapters Residence received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2025. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design prize which rewards superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
