Port
Port is a holiday home of 201.6 square meters in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, with a view over the harbour. The original two-bedroom layout was changed into three bedrooms so that family and friends can stay comfortably. A wardrobe serves as the wall between two bedrooms, which saves space, adds storage and reduces sound transmission. The living area offers three gathering places: a sofa zone, a dining table and a bar placed at opposite ends. A black tone, a grille ceiling and a black mirror under the beam reduce the visual weight of the low beams, while curved shapes soften the interior.
Port Holiday Home by Chu Chieh Liang has been featured as a creative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Port Holiday Home earned the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2025. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design accolade which celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
