Avand
Avand is a packaging series created for a boutique pastry brand. The range includes three cake boxes, a cookie box and a paper cup. Hand brush painting is combined with digital art to form free shapes that resemble a work of art. Deep green and gold are used as the primary brand colors. The painted surfaces reflect the handmade nature of the pastry and the care taken during production. A dynamic identity approach is applied, so the packages carry varied artistic impressions rather than a single fixed pattern.
Avand Pastry by Masoud Najafi Amirkiasar has been highlighted as an exceptional example of communication design by the A' Design Award. Avand Pastry was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2025. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design award that rewards excellent design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
