The Clouds
The Clouds is a residential apartment interior of 90 square meters in Taipei, Taiwan. The plan holds three bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom and a separate toilet. Curved lines run through the ceiling and the fitted furniture, softening the boundaries between the areas. The living room ceiling was shaped by hand at a slight angle to conceal beams of different heights. A custom foyer protects privacy and leads to an open storage area and a curved wine cabinet. Light from the large windows keeps the shared spaces calm and open.
The Clouds Residential House by Carina Lin was highlighted as an outstanding representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. The Clouds Residential House earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2025. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design competition which rewards exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
