Agar
Agar is a self-leveling robotic platform designed for precision agriculture on uneven terrain. The platform can be operated by remote control, programmed to follow a set GPS path, or run autonomously using obstacle avoidance sensors. Independent battery powered motors on each wheel allow turning in place. The wheels can be repositioned to suit different crop row distances, and the platform adapts to slopes of up to 30 degrees. Emergency stop buttons and mechanical bumpers support user safety. Steel, stainless steel and aluminium parts are powder coated.
Agar Agricultural Autonomous Robot by Vladimir Zagorac has been featured as an exceptional representation of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Agar Agricultural Autonomous Robot won the Bronze A' Design Award in Agricultural Tools, Farming Equipment and Machinery Design in 2024. The A' Agricultural Tools, Farming Equipment and Machinery Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design prize which honors outstanding design of tractors, harvesters, plows, irrigation systems, seeders, sprayers, balers, cultivators and more.
