Sky Spa
Sky Spa is a wellness spa set on the top floor of a building in Hebei Province, China. The position above the surrounding buildings gives open views of the sky. The facade was renovated with large, minimalist floor-to-ceiling windows made of ultra-clear glass and aluminum alloy, bringing the outdoor scenery inside. Interior walls were removed to form an open layout that supports natural air flow, following the Chinese wellness idea of the flow of chi. High-gloss resin panels cover the ceiling and form a seamless surface. The spa offers a calm retreat from the city.
Sky Spa Wellness Spaces by Kris Lin was selected as an outstanding representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Sky Spa Wellness Spaces won the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design award which celebrates exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
