Feng Tian Restaurant
Feng Tian Restaurant is a dining interior located in Changchun, China, covering 1000 square meters. The design follows wabi-sabi principles, where simplicity and quietness guide every surface. Dim lighting, simple wood and stone give the rooms a calm and warm tone. The atrium has a shaped ceiling with dark metal rods that suggest movement through the space. Independent private rooms gather guests in one corner, so banquets and conversation remain sheltered. The intent is a quiet retreat within a busy city.
Feng Tian Restaurant Project by Zhang Qiming has been selected as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Feng Tian Restaurant Project was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design accolade which celebrates exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
