Rongbaohang BMW
Rongbaohang BMW is an automobile dealership interior located in Tianjin. The layout follows a continuous circular circulation route. The ceilings of the first and second floors are covered with blue transparent acrylic panels, arranged to suggest driving trajectories and flowing water ripples. These panels echo a water landscape formed by a water curtain and a pool. Sustainability guides the project, and the lighting system was rebuilt with wooden grilles set at the high windows. The office area was reduced so that the customer lounge could be enlarged.
Rongbaohang BMW 5S Store by Yixian Chen was identified as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Rongbaohang BMW 5S Store earned the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize which rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
