Essence of Time
Essence of Time is a residential interior design for a 40 square meter apartment in Taipei City. The plan contains a foyer, a living area, a dining area, two bedrooms, one bathroom and a kitchen. Unnecessary walls were removed to open the space, and white-grey mineral paint was applied to the walls and the mineral flooring. A curved wall separates the foyer from the adjoining area and acts as a visual focal point. A sequence of wood cabinets provides storage. The monochrome scheme and the varied textures follow the Japandi style.
Essence of Time Residential by Studio One was recognized as a creative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Essence of Time Residential earned the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design prize that rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
