Calligraphy Study
Calligraphy Study is an electric height-adjustable desk designed for children who learn Chinese calligraphy. Calligraphy is usually written while standing, so the desk height can be changed between 56 and 110 centimetres with a control panel that shows the current height. The desktop can be tilted from 0 to 60 degrees for drawing and reading. The frame is made of solid wood with traditional mortise and tenon joinery, and rattan wickerwork covers the screen. Wooden holders keep brushes in place with magnets. A small mobile cabinet stores paper rolls and scrolls.
Calligraphy Study Desk by Two square meters has been identified as an outstanding representation of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Calligraphy Study Desk earned the Silver A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2024. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition which honors outstanding design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
