Simplism Exploration
The 20 years old and outdated villa came alive after being designed and renovated by the designer. The designer only used black, natural white, and grey to renovate the villa, and he tried to create an interior space by minimizing decoration as little as possible. The cement pillars, the trees outside the backyard, and the light are not changed. The designer just changed the structure by switching the stairs from right to left, so spaces have been increased on each floor. The design language is orderly, organized, aesthetic, and intrinsic.
Simplism Exploration Villa by Jinqiao Ouyang has been selected as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Simplism Exploration Villa earned the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize which honors outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
