Gift
Gift is a residential interior design for a 66 square meter apartment in Hsinchu. The layout is open, and a television wall separates the public and private areas. The interior displays a collection of Taiwanese raw wood and rattan furniture made by local carpenters. Wood tones, a light earthy floor and white walls create a calm setting. Coiled edges on the ceiling give the space visual continuity. A floor to ceiling corner window brings in sunlight and a view of the terrace. Grey-blue honeycomb shades replace cloth curtains.
Gift Residential by Yi Sheng Chang has been highlighted as an outstanding representation of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Gift Residential earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design prize which rewards superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
