Dome
Dome is a restaurant and bar interior located in a two-story building in Beijing. The design aims to feel natural and comfortable. Part of the second floor is opened to connect the two levels. A transparent light film is applied to the ceiling to suggest the scene of a sunrise. A mixed color lighting system supports the effect of early morning light. All corners are curved to create a surrounding atmosphere. Light golden artistic paint gives a relaxed feeling. The name Dome refers to the open sky, which has no boundary and no fixed shape.
Dome Restaurant and Bar by Hongbo Wung has been featured as a creative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Dome Restaurant and Bar won the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design award that rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
