Bama Sunrise
Bama Sunrise is a packaging set designed to preserve and present Chinese tea. The theme of the design is the sunrise, a symbol of hope and beauty in China. An ancient Chinese sun totem is placed on the top of the can, with four raised round faces that symbolize abundance throughout the year. The outer box shows the sunrise scene of Mount Tai in Shandong province. The tea container is made of fired ceramic, and the outer box is made of paper and metal. The complete set measures 260 by 220 by 220 millimeters.
Bama Sunrise Can for Preserving Tea by Tang Shengxing has been featured as a creative illustration of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Bama Sunrise Can for Preserving Tea earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2023. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize which rewards outstanding design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
