Withered
Withered is a poster series created to promote environmental protection. The design is based on positive and negative shapes. Withered trees form the main image, and the reversed shapes reveal the appearance of human internal organs. The visual link suggests that wasting natural resources harms people themselves. The message asks viewers to treat nature with the same care given to the human body. The posters are made with four-color printing and are displayed in stations and subways as advertisements and printed promotional material. The images are also used as magazine illustrations.
Withered Poster by Jin Qin has been selected as a grand illustration of communication design by the A' Design Award. Withered Poster received the Iron A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2023. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design competition which honors outstanding design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
